SWIGGIS is a professional and social organization. Our meetings provide women geographers with a positive and productive space as well as a supportive and engaging environment in which we mentor each other, enhance our intellectual climate, and are innovative in our strategies to promote the professional status of women in Geography and GIS. We are a gathering place for GIS users or want-to-be users to ask help on using GIS, finding free GIS data, resolving technical glitches and other related items. No software preference, so ESRI or Open Source programs like Quantum or gvSIG and all welcome.
